Off the top of my head I would say A is JBentley and B is KellyB just because I know their ratings were close. Just a guess.

I've wanted to state this a few times but figured saying Bentley did what KB did (but with a lot worse team around him) although KB played 1 more game also was too low of a blow for the KB fanboys.

Will you also show their rushing stats? QB has to run for our system to work.

What about 107 - 196, 54.6%, 1690 yds, 8.3 YPA, 9 TD, 9 INT, 130.4 rating ?
Oh, and 1 National Championship.
Numbers don't always tell the whole story.

football is barely even the same sport. UGA won a championship the year before with Buck Belue completing 49% of his passes (he averaged just 7 completions a game). Oh and they had some pretty good RB that averaged 30 carries a game.
It's nothing for a QB to complete 7 passes on one drive now, much less an entire game.

My stats are from 1981. Homer Jordan was a good rusher and handed off well, but we did not utilize the pass much, even with Perry Tuttle and other talented receivers. But that team played as a team, and they all have national championship rings.
One set of statistics can indicate certain strengths, but does not define a season.

Alabama's passing stats are ordinary year after year, but they sure excel in every other area.
