1969 ... Maryland at Clemson. I was so wet and being wet got me so tired that I was unable to be alert for the CDA band/dance stuff that night.

vpi game in the 80's. rained so hard you could not see the field. wesley mcfadden had 225 yards rushing. so they say

That was my vote. I remember water cascading down steps, wrinkly finger prints and having to dry out my money afterwards. I stayed for the entire game - wouldn't have if it had been cold.

I remember it was a monsoon that day.
The biggest thing to remember about that day wasn't the score, though. It was Frank Howard's last home game as our head coach. 1969 was his last season.

One of the rainiest games I ever attended was 1972 S. Carolina game. It was COLD. Rained before, during and after. Parking lots were terrible. A couple parked beside me gave me their tickets and left. I couldn't give them away. TIGERS WON.

It was back in the day of dressing for the games. Totally ruined a blue pinstriped
suit that day.
