we simply don't care enough to fire the guy quite frankly...basketball is and probably will always be something we do between football and baseball seasons....we don't pay attn until after the bowl game and then go away in March.

Difference is our Baseball program should be winning Championships.
Baseball has what it needs to recruit top notch players and win championships. The expectation levels for Baseball and Basketball are and should be different.

Im not a kid little buddy and I never dogged Dabo that is pure ####### fiction. Was he my first choice of hire? No did I state that yes? That doesnt mean I was dogging him. I have supported him after the decision was made. He has grown tremendously as a HC and has done a great job .

We're not resorting to a whole team of big men (Barnes), or fast athletes that are coached to shoot the ball (Purnell) and then players who just really weren't that good in any aspect (Shyatt). Our lack tonight of just solid underneath player is killing us (I think. I'm not coach).

When will the actual payoff be though? Last year all I remember hearing was how Brownell couldn't be blamed for how bad we were because Blossomgame and Coleman weren't playing. This year, Blossomgame hasn't been any kind of scoring sensation and Coleman has been run off. I'm ready for us to have at least one guy who is a shooter. Right now we have none, and even if Coleman could have been that guy, he didn't have good enough D to play for Brownell.
Obviously I'm no BB coach and Brownell knows way more than me, but he might be better served if he were to get at least one guy that is a shooter and play him, even if his D isn't up to snuff.

that supposedly bare cupboard. Year 2 was a little worse. Year 3 was worse. It's year 4 and our final record won't be much improved over last year. The product on the floor is awful. Unwatchable. I didn't think we could play uglier than we did under Purnell, but we are. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am. The problem is that clemson doesn't care enough about basketball to really try. That's the sad part.

His best record was with seniors left over from Purnell. Guys with experience. You're wanting to get rid of Brownell before he even has a chance to fully develop his players. If you really haven't seen flashes of a good team this year then you haven't been watching.

Mean that this staff should receive fan support. Support from the AD from a financial prrspective is one thing but he hasn't done anything with *his* players since he got here. Cool that he is the best we can get but not cool that we suck this much. I kind of wish that if in 60+ years if we can't compete, we just say we can't. Not all schools play LAX because we can't get LAX players. Same with BBall. Just say we can't compete and lean on FBall. This sport doesn't add anything to our school.

I said it before the season to deserve to come back he needs to win around 18 games. Right now he is on pace to do that. Honestly if we make the NIT this season it should be considered a successful year. Now if we fall apart down the stretch and don't make the NIT then he is probably done for.
