Be careful what you hope for Coots. They quit the ACC because they couldn't compete academically. These idiots in Cooterville want it both ways.

It's sad that some of them know they will be dead before USUC beats CLEMSON again. I really wanted them to hang around and take the medicine that they deserve.

All speculative and in the Coastal that could be true. However, Muschamp's record shows they typically beat teams that are below and 500 and lose to teams above 500. And I think they have beaten one ranked opponent. I could be wrong, but I think TN was ranked last year or the year before when they beat them.

That is one of the few areas at which they excel.

Depends on their schedule.
Some of those ACC coastal teams play nothing but cupcakes OOC. They could be ranked playing one of their slates for sure.

Hypothetical coastal run (not including a loss to Clemson... assume a OOC there) for the coots would put them at 4-4.
They will struggle with disciplined/rushing oriented teams. Thus a loss to "good" GT & Pitt.
Division crossover: Loss to 'Cuse/BC/Atlantic with a pulse.
Toss-up win to VaTech, Miami. Beats Duke & UNCheat.
Random bad loss to a decent Virginia.
4-4. Assume cupcakes in the OOC (+1 ACC or -1 for ND) and an obliteration against Clemson... and they sit at 6-6.... humm, that record looks like their current record. I don't even think the polls can justify a 6-6 Auburn team being ranked.

Toss-up v. Duke...not so sure about that !!!

With wins over Pitt and Northwestern (both of which are better than any wins u5c has this year), Duke is likely favored in this game.

If USuC playecour schedule

,as in our conference schedule, they'd have to adhere to ACC Standards of admission. That worked out so well for them the first time.
likewise , slap Clemson with USuC's schedule and the SEC's admission standards LOLOLOLOL
