A few things about stats that folks around here should

embrace.
Statistics don't generate energy, passion, excitement, sell tickets, and turn the fans out. That’s the show’s job, and it’s ringleader. When stats start getting thrown around it generally means that none of the above is happening and someone is digging for justification or an excuse to explain it away. We all know the sayings.
Clemson will always have a base for any sport as the players are our school’s students and we pull for all of them, all the time, winning and losing. Period. So many sports it’s hard to keep up. The adults that run things, though, that's a different story.
Go Tigers.

Seems you are suggesting decisions should be made on emotions and our "feels". Seems risky as this methodology hardly ever works out.

Ticket sales and butts in seats are hardly "feels.'

And you don't think energy, passion, and excitement contribute to donor support and program buzz?
Ken Hatfield may very well own the record for best win % of a college football head coach who was fired without a contract or ethics breach. How did that work out?

Stats never lie.
CLEMSON BBall is UNDEFEATED at Chapel Hill in years that UNC is the worst team in the ACC.
The streak is ONE.
