I posted this in response to one of Judge Keller's posts and thought it might deserve it's own thread...
After reading posts on here for three days it dawned on me that people are getting their information from Tigernet instead of IPTAY. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
The 100 bonus points is only part of the plan IPTAY has published. The second part of the plan is to award points for each season ticket that is "donated" back and then cash value priority points are given based on the value of the tickets.
Not only do you get 100 points, you get 5 points for each season ticket donated as well as points for the value. Those of you saying you only get 100 points for leaving your donation in tact and then donating your tickets are partially correct.
I purchase 4 season tickets. If I donated everything back this season I would get:
100 points = leaving IPTAY donation intact 20 points = Donate 4 season tickets (5 points per season ticket) 6.9 points = Cash value priority points for 4 tickets ($1720)
126.9 = Total points for 2020
Don't take my word for it - read the information that IPTAY posted on their website:
The only real bonus is the 5 points per ticket. If you take a refund of the ticket price $1,720 you can turn around and donate that money right back to Clemson and get 6.9 points (1720 / 250) since cumulative giving is 1 pt per $250 donated.
Everyone is reading this wrong. The points are going to affect your strength in the level you give only. They dont put you against anyone as far as tickets or parking in the level you are not giving. Its a pretty good deal keeps you on top of the level you are competing against.
