Who are we rooting for this Thurs/Weekend?

Oregon / Stanford ... I'll go with Oregon ... rather knock Stanford out of contention now & Oregon would be my choice as NC opponent
Baylor / Oklahoma ... I'll go with Baylor ... Oklahoma might jump us if they win + Baylor still has Okie State, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech
Alabama / LSU ... Bammer ...Same premise as above ... put LSU outta their misery, and the later Bama loses, the more devastating it is ... SEC champ game loss would end their hopes.

I'm pulling for Stanford. I think they drop a game later on. And I would NOT want to play Oregon.
Oklahoma, but in a close game.
LSU. Alabama will not lose a game if they don't lose to LSU. LSU already has 2 losses, so they're out of the national race. They'll probably lose a 3rd game to A&M.

Have you watched Oregon play?

I know they are good, and I thought the exact same thing... until I watched them play. I think we could play with Oregon. We would match up with them much better in their passing game than we did with FSU. Stopping the run has been our strong point lately as well. Also, I know the scores were the same but, their game with UVA was almost exactly like ours. UVA kept it close for a little while. Oregon poured it on them late.

Yep, and I think we would score 40-50 on them

Trouble is, we'd lose 125-55.
Too much speed and skill. Look what our D has done this year (FSU and UGA) and in recent years against speed and skill.

Why do they get so much more credit than UGA?

I think their WRs are very similar and while maybe a little faster, they are not as good at RB as Gurley. They would get points but I would say we hold them under 50 for sure. Their offense does not compare to FSU because FSU dominated us in the WR vs DB match up. Oregon does not have that skill and more importantly size at WR.

You are way underestimating Oregon.

They have the perfect players for their system. That's why they're so dangerous.
Marcus Mariota would crush us.

Stanford, Ok and LSU

If Stanford were to beat Oregon, it moves FSU up to a solid 2 and probably in the BCSCG. That gives us an "extra" pick into the BCS.
Oklahoma won't jump 4 spots.
LSU...just to throw chaos into the system.
If either LSU or Stanford win, its probably good for us in terms of getting into the BCS.

If Stanford loses again they won't make the BCS ahead of us. Baylor will only make it if they win the Big 12. If LSU wins then Oregon doesn't need to lose for FSU to get in (not that I care that FSU actually gets in).
If we only lose 1 game we will get a BCS invite.

I agree with them all except bama. If they lose they'd still be in the sec champ and they could lose then probably not though.
