I've heard a few mentions this year during the season about how "Champ" has done a good job while at South Carolina. When you look at his record more closely you see otherwise. I looked at his first 3 seasons and didnt factor in this season although you probably could at this point. Of his 22 wins coming into this season only 5 of them were against power 5 teams that ended the season with a winning record. Keep in mind these aren't ranked opponents except for TN but instead teams like a 7-6 Kentucky Most of his wins have come against teams below 500. Essentially they rarely beat teams above 500 and typically beat teams below 500.
