Wow, he attacked the media for the situation.
He should have just said it was between two people, it got out, I apologize and left it at that. But did he really think that the question would never be asked?
I know that most reporters covering teams now are fanboys and normally that works out ok especially when you are winning and everything is going smoothly.
I know Tiger fans don't like Kornblut because he is not a fanboy, but he earns my respect for asking the questions that need to be asked. And honestly, this wasn't even a tough question. Muschamp knew he would need to address it at some point. Kornblut simply teed it up for him, very professionally, so Muschamp could get it out of the way.
Instead he attacks the guy for simply doing his job. Muschamp is trash.

Kornblut says that Skip Holts was the first to call him that, and then Brad Scott...until Brad came to Clemson, when he changed his nickname to Gamecock Phil, which became a running joke between them.
Korn says the nicknames just convince him that he’s doing something right.
Anyway, I remember the first interview TL did when Kornblut maneuvered to the front and stuck his recorder in TL’s face and asked a question. You could see TL’s open, friendly demeanor become more guarded with Kornblut than the other guys. Either it was instinctive, or he already had established rapport with the other reporters or someone gave TL a scouting report on the media so he knew not to be quite so trusting of the pushy bald round white guy.
I like Korn. Like Mus says, you always know what you’re going to get from him.
