Look, I get it. If I were in his shoes, I can't honestly say I wouldn't go to Dook. They probably give him a much better shot of making to the NBA than the Tigers. But this one is tough to stomach. He could've easily been the best to EVER play at Clemson (or USuCk, for that matter), instead of just another Dookie...

I’m thinking the same thing. He gave clues like shocking the world. If he was considering Clemson that wouldn’t have been a shock since most projections had him coming to Clemson. He rode the hype as far as fans let him

I have been disliking Duke basketball for decades. Coach K and his arrogance and working of refs was the start. Then the flops and then the tolerance of the mad tripper just continued it.

It’s not their fault he didn’t pick Clemson. And it’s not that he has a better chance of making the NBA at Duke. He’s going to play in the NBA if he picked Mars Hill or Catawba. He chose Duke because he has a better chance of WINNING there. He has a real chance to play for a national championship there. We aren’t there yet... even with Zion. Not even close.

You could add that profane, rat-faced coach. But he wins championships... so there’s not much you can say. And as long as he gets the best players to come play for him, that’s probably not going to change. The best thing we can do is to recruit and coach up players who can compete with and occasionally beat the Dukes of the world. We did it in football. With the right leadership we could do it in basketball too.

That's the fallacy of this thought process. Duke and Kentucky have had more tournament trouble with the influx of one and dones and been less of a tournament threat. It is hard to get them to gel together and grow up in just one season. Both have made the tournaments, but have had more dud season and tournaments than championships.
You are right, he will play with better talent, but no guarantee for playing for natty.
