downright uncomfortable. I love wearing it around Tiger Town, but it's gotta be the most uncomfortable ring ever. It is now gladly back in the drawer until my next visit to Clemson.

That and my wedding ring. I used to do a lot of stuff with cars or working outside, and they just got in the way, so I'd take them off. Then that evolved into never wearing them. I know where they both are, but haven't seen them in 6 months.

only take it off for outside work and sports so I don't lose/damage it. Still looks brand new (just got it pro cleaned a couple months ago).
Feels weird if I DON'T have it on.
It's all in what you are used to. I can't even guess the number of conversations from complete strangers that ring has started over the years.

a couple of years ago some nitric acid fumes turned the “onyx stone” into some kind of tar like goo that oozed out of the seal. Need to get it fixed. Ruined one of my favorite shirts that day too.

Wife sent mine in to get cleaned up and sized up a half size a couple years ago or so. Don’t think they charged much if anything. Can’t remember. Been quite a few beers between then and now.

to the tune of like $150. Basic damage is covered, but I damaged the setting and they charged me to fix my ring that has a lifetime warranty. I argued but eventually paid it.

I wear mine everyday. Mine used to be too big, so i used electrical tape inside of it until I finally got it resized. I received my fall of 2015, and didnt want to send it back for a 3 month long resizing because I wanted to wear my ring to the playoff and natty.
So not only did I endure the ring callousing, but I also endured 2 months of electrical tape adhesive irritating my skin and giving me god knows what kind of cancer, but I didnt give a #### because I was proud to wear it.
Ring is sized correctly now. No more electrical tape, but I still wear it every day.

I sold mine years ago. Think I even turned a profit as the price of gold increased since graduation. Moved away from SC right after graduation, feel like a guido wearing the big ring, so stopped and never looked back.

Kinda weird that when I was young and broke, I wore it every day and never ever thought of selling it. Now I'm old and not quite as broke, and I never wear it, and if I lost it, I probably wouldn't replace it.

I had to borrow 4grand to pay for the 2nd summer session in 1988. Had I not taken the three classes in that session I would have to take them the following spring. I had a house full of kids and a big fat wife who loved groceries and couldn't take another semester of school.
I would have loved to buy a Clemson ring but life just didn't deal the right cards. I'm not complaining but it just never happened.

At 66 and in my health it's kinda diminishing returns. Both grandfathers died at 64 and daddy died at 36. I didn't expect to make it to 60 so imo, I'm living on borrowed time since my first heart surgery was 5 bypasses when I was 32. Since I've had 7 more heart attacks, one surgery, still have one artery blocked due to the damage of the surrounding muscle and the lower portion of my heart is dead as my ancestors.
