I think last night's game was the first one all season

that I did not yell at the TV and have my blood pressure skyrocket. That was because I knew going into the game that I would be seeing exactly what I ended up seeing. In other words, I was certain that the refs would make just enough calls at just the right times to make the game finish just as it did. It is not always how many calls that are made for or against one team or the other, but WHEN they are made and how they impact the outcome - the refs did a masterful job of taking made baskets away from us and giving Duke calls at the most crucial times as I expected. I knew this would be the case going in, watched calmly, and knew Duke would get the calls they needed. Coach K seemed calm as well. Much calmer than usual in a close game - interesting.

I go into every game that we play dook or uncheaters knowing we will some how get the raw end. I KNOW IT, but my blood pressure will stay spiked.

Somehow I was unusually calm throughout the game. Sort of like watching a thriller of a movie for the third time - no reason to sit on the edge of your seat like the first time.

I totally agree. I have seen this movie before and I didn't like it the first time. Speaking of movies, the Dukies should get the award for best Floppers. What a way to win!

even when we took the lead with about 7 seconds to go and we were all yelling, we just knew that they were not going to let us win and do something that was going to allow them to win, either a call or a no call.....but you just KNEW that it was coming. I've watched Clemson in the ACC now for over 50 years, and nothing has changed. Its been frustrating, yet so predictable. Thank goodness we get to pay back tobacco road a little bit in football. Small consolation when you want to be relevant in basketball. Just sickening!

I felt the same way. You just know going in that you don't have a chance to win unless you find a way to play 20 points better than Duke, which isn't going to happen.
