I'm right on for alcohol when it all settles out.
One trip to Vegas would put way over if you count in getting out there and lodging.

Seems like all spend the same on alcohol, it's just a different percentage of income.

hurt the poor so much more than the wealthy. Poor guy making $20K a year will spend 2K on cigs, 1K on alcohol, etc.
But the lottery is what gets me. That's not an addiction, just pure dumbassery.

any sales tax hits poor folks harder. Difference is po' folks will probably pick a lower priced product to start with.

None, not one. I'm afraid I'll win and ruin my life, the lives of my children and spoil Dabo rotten.

When it gets over the amount where I could live fat forever on 1% interest.
I bought one for the second highest lottery payout (at the time) at a Murphy gas station on Hwy 1 in Lexington. Payout was north of $600 million. Went to bed. Woke up the next morning. Per usual I grabbed my phone. Went to check the local news on WIS and saw a SINGLE winning ticket for the $600 million was sold in Lexington. I clicked the article and read. Saw it was sold at the Murphy gas station on Highway 1 in Lexington. I fell out the bed literally getting to my dresser where the ticket was. Wasn't me.
Dude who won it remained anonymous, but lived in Red Bank and rented a trailer from my BIL's grandfather. Asked the manager one day and they sold like 1,100 tickets for that drawing. So that's the closest I've come to winning. Quit after that.
