Seriously. The NCAA has sent a clear signal that they will not tolerate shenanigans. I think based on Dabo's past comments that he would have let #2 play in the second half against Auburn. But after the PSU thing he had to lower the boom.

I hope it makes Sammy just mad enough to light it up in every game he does play in.

I think what the original poster is saying is that Dabo showed the college football world that football does not wag the tail here at Clemson. It is very important ... but it isn't everything. To win at all costs is not the message he wants to send. Are you listening Chapel Hill???

didn't want to lay down the punishment that he did, but after seeing what the NCAA did to Penn St it forced his hand. That line of thinking is utterly ridiculous!

Coach Swinney said since day one he'd announce Watkin's punishment "as it got closer to the season". And he said numerous times that Sammy had things he had to do earn back the trust of the staff and the team. But Swinney also said that Sammy would miss some game time.

1)Its closer to the season
2)Sammy spent the entire summer involved in all sorts of community-service related activities
3)Swinney said he'd been waiting to decide between 2 or 4 games missed. Because of Sammy's efforts this summer he decided on a 2 game penalty

Here's a suggestion. Why don't you run back over to your NCAA probation-ridden program and waste their time with your worthless opinion.
