If you read that and don't see that it came from a place of desperately loving Clemson and wanting what was best for the program, then you're blind.
Yes, I was wrong. I've owned it several times since then, as people love to repost this as though I or anyone else was able to see the future at that time.

Oh I wonder how many of those throwing haymakers at Dabo in 2009 would step forward today and admit that they were 100% wrong ?
Probably not many . 489 Seems like he's at least honest about his mistaken view and it is clear that he really does care about Clemson .

I was on the fence with Dabo towards the middle of the 5yr drought against USuC but I vividly remember the turning point in my thinking. Urban Myer and Chris Spielman were the broadcast crew for one of our games and they had spent all week in Clemson with the staff and team. (Keep in mind this was before Myer’s tenure at OSU so a lot of his actions hadn’t come to light yet and at the time, I had the utmost respect for his coaching prowess.) He talked as naseum during that broadcast about the foundation Dabo was building at Clemson and how we were on the precipice of something special. He even went on to mention Dabo’s “master” plan for Clemson. The statement that really resonated with me was when he looked dead at the camera and said “if Clemson fans and administration can be patient, they will witness the awakening of a sleeping giant”. I think Urban Myer is a hell of a coach and a despicable human but I have to admit he saw it coming 2-3yrs before it came to fruition.
