Why should the SEC get 2 teams in the playoff

if their conference is so bad ? It makes no sense ....
Remember when the rest of the ACC was dogcrap ... no one was clamoring to get both FSU and Clemson in.
I'll hang up and listen.

Troof: ESPiN had three and four in the early polls during the PO's first year. They own ~half of the SEC network so they try and push their brand of football on everyone. They take every opportunity to make a buck. Opportunist mofos.
Fact: No one including the playoff committee want a repeat of the LSU/Bama game. Remember, the game that busted up the BCS system? ESPiN's speculation is that a UGA/Bama conference championship game will be repeated in the playoff. Both still have tough games left on their schedules so it's not really time to discuss the finer intricacies of the final selections.

I use to think the 4 team playoff was intended to get two SEC teams in w/o causing as much controversy as the 2011 BCS game. However, there should be three none SEC teams good enough (I hope we are one) where that does not happen.

If Clemson and another ACC team were both undefeated and ranked, say 2and 3 and played a very close ACC C game and we lost by 3, would both teams be deserving?

Not of both acc teams played a schedule as weak as georgia

Heck.. I still wouldn't.
If an undefeated clemson got beat in the acc champ game by 6-6 GT then GT should go to the playoffs. That's how playoffs work, and that's why they have wild cards.

You're correct.
UGA has beaten one team in the top 25, Alabama has beaten ZERO.
If that was any other conference you'd be hearing about how said conference might not get a team in.

True Bama should be ranked below Miami if you are looking at who they have played and beaten IMO. If it were any team besides Bama or Ohio St they would not be in the top 4 right now.

If UGA and Bama are 2 of the best 4 teams in the nation it shouldn't matter which conference they are in. We will see how ND does against State this weekend. That win at ND is looking real nice for UGA though.

Why should the SEC get 2 teams in the playoff? It's like the question someone asked me this morning about why Notre Dame should get in because they don't play in the ACC. I told him because they were Notre Dame. Same as to your question. It's because it's the SEC. Did that answer your question?

The SEC can only argue for 1 team.
Really, the conference that has zero business being in the playoff this year is the Big 10. They've been shut out 2 years in a row while yet having the most arrogant self-promotion of any conference.
Yeah the SEC is a bunch of loudmouths, but until recently they dominated all of college football for almost 15 years.
The Big 10 deserves to be penalized with no playoff berths for 2 years for being such arrogant loudmouths with NOTHING to substantiate their arrogance, and then proceeding to get shut out 2 years in a row.
