I hope we can land this guy. A friend from that area said that his dad was Gabe DeVoe’s coach at high school and that they were good friends. Not sure that will have much impact since they are so many years apart from each other, but it cannot hurt.

Our coaches were unsure of the # of schollies we would have. If he would've been a 2019 recruit when we can sign a 25 man class he would've been a priority.

Yep. Unlike some other schools Coach Swinney doesn't string recruits along. We wanted him but CDS doesn't take a commitment if numbers won't allow him to give the same commitment in return.

We are now in a position to take this kid.

We apparently held back earlier, especially as he readily seemed headed to Stanford, but CV is actively working this situation so who knows what happens. He would indeed be a great commit.

Once Mike and Jake committed , Clemson shut it down at LB as were only going to take 2 in this class. Apparently the schollie numbers have changed, and Clemson is trying to get back in the mix. The first offer Dax received was from Clemson.
