Swinney on coaching future: 'I love where I am, love what I do'

It wouldn't be an offseason without Clemson coach Dabo Swinney being asked about a potential return to his alma mater. His most recent contract language did mak Read Update »

The Bama fans I know use this as rationalization for Clemson whipping their ###. “Dabo will end up at Bama”. I say “yea, maybe if he starts smoking crack and wants to punish himself for it”

Why on the world would he go to bama? He has built his own legacy at little ol' Clemson. He does not want to go to bama simply to follow in saban's shadow? He is his own man and would take a #### of a chance because he would have to be compared to saban every day. No one needs to worry about him going there. Only way, Imo,would be if he got fired at Clemson and I don't see that happening

Gotta love Dabo***

All the “never say never” talk was about incentivizing Clemson to step up in contract negotiations. If Dabo said “I’m here for life” he no doubts gets a good deal, but does he get $93 million & more importantly the $50 million buyout? It’s simple, & it was smart business. The only way Dabo leaves is if another Max Lennon comes along, & he referenced that too without calling names. Long live Dabo! Go Tigers!
