win a specialized bike for their special-needs child.
I've had the privilege of meeting this family twice. The dad is a Clemson grad and they currently live in the Clemson area. Here's a summary from their Facebook page: "Lincoln has a rare gene mutation that causes med-resistant epilepsy. And I’m not talking about a high-functioning couple seizures a year type of epilepsy. This boy was having 200 seizures a day as an infant and he will never be able to walk, talk, or even eat by mouth. That does not mean his life is without adventure, joy, or purpose! This boy has taught so many of us valuable lessons. He enjoys cuddles, colorful lights, music, animals, and bouncing. He never complains and is truly a beacon, shining the love and promises of God so brightly.
Please help us win this special bike that will allow him to have new adventures. Lincoln doesn’t want to be left behind when Daddy and big brother ride bikes. He wants to be a big boy too and feel the wind on his face."
The mom has been featured on shows such as Inside Edition after someone videoed her singing "Never Enough" to her son while he was at Duke Univ Hospital for treatment. This is an amazing and Godly Clemson family and there's no reason the Clemson family can't rally and help these folks get the bike they need for their little boy.
Riding a bike is a treasured childhood experience. Sadly, many children with special needs miss out on this opportunity. Friendship Circle’s Great Bike Giveaway provides a fundraising platform for friends and family members and gives a child with special needs the experience, joy and independence of riding a special bike.
