No balloons just wasn't the same :/

It's sad that the voice of a few can overturn the voice of the many. Its just not as electric. Any ideas on what we could add to spice back up the So called most electrifying 25 seconds of college football?

I don't really care either way about this issue, but I find irony in people being so upset over something as simple as not seeing balloons, and then referring to other people as whiners.

IMO that atmosphere is a lot like going to church. You probably won't get much more out of it than you put into it. Maybe bring a cowbell next time.
Ok - seriously kidding about the dang cowbells. Do NOT do that.

Have them run through barriers of orange plastic straws still stuck between the lips of the " voice of a few" .

I agree, there were some disappointed little kids around where we sit. They should have told the tree hugging earth buddies where to stick it, our balloons were biodegradable anyway. It was just a bunch of "activists" looking for a cause. I'm sure they have moved on to another pressing issues like banning birthday candles because they cause a hole in the ozone layer and contribute to global warming. They will NEVER, EVER be satisfied.

Nobody is crying, just observing that yet another tradition that has been destroyed by a few who gripe and whine and moan and protest about every little thing. The balloons were released 7 time a year, it's not like it was every Saturday, and by your logic, we should do away with all paper products because they don't vaporize instantly either and birds visiting landfills may choke on the paper and die, and I hope you don't drive a car because it uses fossil fuels which contribute to global warming. How many dead sea turtles have been found who choked on an orange balloon that was released at a Clemson football game? How many fish and birds have been pulled from Lake Hartwell or any other lake or river in the area or anywhere else that died from choking on a balloon released at a Clemson football game? The answer is none because they were biodegradable. It's just something else for people who need a "cause" to complain about and protest over. Next people will be offended by the cannon because it reminds them of the American Civil War which will remind them of oppression and slavery and we will have to stop firing the cannon to make them happy. It never ends.

When do we have to stop singing the Alma Mater because it says, "...where the SONS of dear old Clemson...". That can't be politically correct, can it?
Snowflakes will snowflake... they're kinda like the media... "those who can't do, talk..."

One or two large balloons (like scaled down hot air balloons)... orange with large white paws on all 4 sides) with very long tethers so they can be recovered and reused. If anybody knows who could make the decision to do this, please forward this to him or her.

With all the engineers at Clemson seems like they could figure out a way to have a balloon release and let the Balloons rise up so for in the sky and Let them come down outside the stadium on a line or tether or something. Where there's a will there's a way.

Activists to volunteer to go up in the hot air balloon and be tossed overboard as sort of a sacrifice to the earth......that would liven it up and bring attention to their cause.
.....that was satire for the easily offended

How about big bubble generators on the hill and let our textile chemistry department (do we still have that?) come up with a nice orange biodegradable dye that also thickens the bubbles a little and makes them last longer?
