And kick Notre dame to the curb ?
I don’t know how much it would affect our TV contract money but.. the opportunity seems to be there.
Better yet, let’s add Ohio State. That would probably help us in TV negotiations. Everyone knows the buck nuts love to come to the state of SC

We’re not having a spelling bee or a mathelete competition.
Opportunity is there for us to beef up our strength of schedule and get some more exciting games. Better TV exposure and more

and poach West Virginia to the ACC.
Better regional fit for both teams, restore the Nebraska-Oklahoma rivalry, and restore the WVu-Pitt and WVu-Va Tech rivalries.
Shorter travel for the visitors to both.

I’d take them over BC and Cuse though.

My wish list adds would be ND and Penn State...I wouldn’t mind Nebraska/WVU/Navy etc but ND and Penn State for me and Northern/southern divisions
North - ND/Penn State/VT/UVA/Louisville/Cuse/BC
South - Clemson/Miami/FSU/GT/UNC/Duke/State/WF
6 division games and 3 other divisions games for 9 total and 3 non conference games!!!
Division winners in Charlotte every year for ACC title...
It simply makes a lot of sense...except ND isn’t doing 9 conference games even if they join a conference and Penn State isn’t leaving the money of the B1G!!!

You left off Pittsburgh in the North.
Would be great to have the Pitt-Penn State rivalry in the ACC. Seeing a game in Happy Valley (especially a white out game) is on my bucket list.

I'm a little confused by the OP.
Folks, Clemson is in the ATLANTIC COAST Conference. Nebraska? Really? I'm in Colorado, and I'm a loooong way from the east coast....and Nebraska is just down the street from me. Surely we can come up with a possible new ACC candidate that is more compatible with our conference's name.

Just because conferences have made poor geographical choices and addEd schools in the past to increase their TV footprint rather than decrease travel time for the athletes, doesn’t mean they now need to double down and put Nebraska in the ATLANTIC coast conference.

I don't know about adding Nebraska permanently but if they are really serious about playing against the B1G mandate, they could surely get 10 games between the ACC teams this year.
First, they would have to meet or exceed the ACC health protocols for COVID-19. In the end, if everything was a success, then see what the future holds. The ACC has to lock in ND before anyone else.

Superiority and bashing the ACC like we’re the Pac-12
If we added Penn st and Ohio state we would be considered equal or better to the SEC in most years. Would be a lot of fun IMO

In terms of the two revenue generating sports

I’m not sure they currently bring much to the table.
Their football program has a great history, but they’ve been average to bad in recent years. Their basketball program isn’t typically very good either.
I also doubt they bring much in terms of TV market.
Finally, they have no relationship or rivalries with any other ACC teams.
I’m not sure why you want them in the ACC, other than the fact that they are mad at the Big 10 for canceling football this year.

Yeah, their decline has been worse than Miami. At least Miami has had a few 10 win seasons since 2001... nebraska has not. Nebraska while decent for a huge stretch, does have a history of being AWEFUL ... and really much of their success in the modern era was Osborne - and he inherited a program.
Lets be honest, Nebraska is in a 20+ year woods right now. They have not found their Tommy Bowden yet... or at least their fired Bo.... and got worse.

They way they handled it was not smart. They are the ugly step sister to the B1G. B1G has already slapped them down for getting out of line. They can’t afford to leave.
So in the end, they will have to go along with the rules of their overlords and just look foolish. May have felt good to say it in the moment, but if you can’t back it up with action better to keep your mouth shut.

We need to be thinking strictly about this season. Due to the BIG and P12 backing out of the season, the ACC, as part of the P3, stands to gain a competitive advantage over the loser P2 conferences.
Looking at the ACC this season, Syracuse is never going to play a game. Neither is FSU as they are a broken program. BC probably won't due to its location in Boston. So, that leaves 12 of us. I have no issue of letting 3 willing teams join our league for 1 season. If Neb, PSU or OSU wants to join us for 1 year fine. That would really give the BIG a black eye. I'm telling you is if it looks like the P3 are going to really have a season, some BIG schools will be in open revolt.
