Two big issues from this past Saturday:

1) Personnel 2) Product
Personnel---So while this was supposed to be a laid-back game, I had some big clients in town and looked forward to doing some business during the game. As a result, I had requested a carving station in my stadium suite. So we go to eat lunch, and the guy carving didn't know medium rare from medium well. EMBARRASSING! We're Clemson, we're better than that.
Product---I also like keeping an informal, blue-collar everyman vibe in my suite, so I had ordered chicken wings. THE FOOD SERVICE EMPLOYEES BROUGHT CHICKEN FINGERS!!!!!!! I could have spit blood.
So after these two strikes, we left the game at halftime and hung out at my Range Rover on the Avenue of Champions, where we fired up new sterno cans under the chafing dishes and listened to Coldplay for the rest of the afternoon. It's just frustrating how the little things can ruin a gameday experience.
That reminds me....we didn't see the second half of the game, how'd we do?

salary so he should expect high quality service and products while he's there. This is unacceptable and I hope they have this sorted out by the South Carolina game.

That's the nicest thing I can say about that.
Everyone knows Coldplay is lame, should have been listening to the game, but the only other acceptable alternative is Garth Brooks

Always a good time with you at the AOC, Obed. I'd add

that I think the kids seemed ok with the chicken fingers, but hey...what do you expect from people that aren't fully human yet and have zero discernible taste. No comment on the medium well other than the guy didn't even know it was Kobe beef. That's a whole separate issue and underscores much of what is going on in our country today.
I'll be honest here, Obed. Those little can candle things were about as blue-collar as I can handle. There is a reason I have several layers of management separating myself from people that use those types of tools at work, and also a reason I've hired a butler around the house. I don't expect to see that type of indigent materials at our tailgate again going forward.
We can chalk it up to a weird night overall. And yes Coldplay on repeat was about the only thing that was enjoyable on Saturday. Sunday got better as me and the old chip off the block won every chukker out at the Polo fields, so that made it better.
See you over at the downtown airport on Saturday. Looks like a 22 minute flight to Triangle North Executive, so I'm thinking we leave Greenville around 2:00 if that's ok. Just confirm here or we can chat at our life coach meeting on Wednesday.
Cheers!

I happen to think that the country needs more rugged individualism, so it felt good to remind myself that I could sustain myself if desperate times called for desperate measures.
Besides, remember the adage about those in glass houses. Might want to upgrade the seats in the Beechcraft to Napa leather before you go grousing about the methods I employ to keep our tailgate Chateaubriand warm.

that jarred loose his wraps just after a bowl in that resulted in the chukker winning goal. SOOOO proud of that boy.
The leather comment is a low blow. You KNOW I've been in talks with the folks in Tuscany but I'm reluctant to pull the trigger pending your Radiologist friend joining us this weekend. This may come across the wrong way, but I'm not sure I want a guy of his socioeconomic status breaking those in with us.
As for the game on Saturday, it reminds me just how elite I am. I've never lost. At anything. I spoke to CDS on Sunday morning and rubbed it in a bit. They'll be fine but it's always good to give a young fella a reminder that he'll never reach my status. I ended the call like Jimbo. I told him "GO WIN THE WHOLE THING" and hung up my satellite phone. Hope he didn't take it the wrong way but my pilot asked for me to disconnect while landing in NYC.
BTW, THANK YOU for the tapas recommendation at Buvette. We flew up just for breakfast and it was as advertised. Also served as a great way to wash my mouth out after eating medium well beef the night before.
