ACC looking into Divisional Structure...

Dec 7, 2013, 12:02 PM

DRad says that the ACC is looking into changing the divisions in the ACC. Said it will dig deeper into it come the Winter meetings.

In my opinion... great news.

do you think we would keep FSU as cross divisional if they split us up or keep it as one potential match up a year in acc champ?

If we would go to coastal we would switch with GiT and our new cross division rival would be NCST

Miami (FSU)
Duke (WF)
UNC (NCST)
Pitt (Syracuse)
VaTech (BC)
UVA (Louisville)

Atlantic
FSU
WF
NCST
LOUISVILLE
BC
Syracuse
GiT

Not necessary, I don't think. Just leave Miami as FSU's

permanent cross-division rival.

Good ... perfect time to do it.

The Coastal Division has proven to be a real problem for the ACC Championship game.

Good time to shake it up and get Clemson and FSU in different divisions.

Also, please!! ... stop making Clemson play Georgia Tech every year. At least as long as Paul Johnson is coaching. Even when we win, the game is a royal pain in the ###.

I would like to see them have divisions create themselves every year based on performance.

Fluid Divisions!

They are going to try and fix the "Duke" problem?

Dec 7, 2013, 12:41 PM

Well, Miami and VT were suppose to win the Coastal every year while FSU and Clemson to dominate the Atlantic.

They will definetly consider changing up the divisions tonight after they see how empty tonights ACCCG will be. They really do need to seperate us and FSU. That would benefit the ACC so much! Go Tigers

It works if Clemson can keep FSU as a cross rival each year, otherwise it hurts the SOS for both. It still allows both. To meet again in the ACC CG for a rematch game each season. If FSU and Clemson end up only playing each other once every 3-4 years that would be bad for the ACC and CFB fans in general. This is one of the marquee games every year.
