I understand that our lateral passes are the same as a sweep, but at some point aren't we going to have to push the defense back. I believe that with a 6'-5" QB, whether TL or DJ, and with a D pushing forward, you can make them pay early and often downfield. It feels like we are playing a ball control offense when we could blow the doors off folks. Elliot is conservative, I get it, but, man, at some point we gotta make the D pay. This is especially true when our run blocking scheme or personnel needs a few more weeks to come together.
