being a President of The United States -- if you haven't been a US President, you can not run your mouth about the politics of the US. It is of course your right to be here. But it's also your responsibility as adults to know when it would be useful for you to keep your mouths closed. Thank you & God Bless America.

"makes sense" check.

But if you are speaking of vocal disagreement with the muslim activist we have as a president----my views and those of many more americans behind me will be heard loud and strong.

he is a vile, lying piece of crap president

Stupid Post of the Year Nominee

Nov 21, 2014, 9:48 AM

That's got to be one of the dumbest posts I've ever read and that's saying something. The list of current and former presidents is pretty short, Carter, W Bush, HW Bush, and Clinton. With one exception, they're a pretty bright group and I listening to their opinions makes sense, but to limit political discourse to that group is not realistic.

Former presidents do have the significant advantages of inside experience and the removal of much of their agenda incentive. For example, they don't have to worry about the impact of their actions on their next job.

On the flip side, many political issues are far too complex for lay people to fully grasp. We don't know the facts, the players, and have limited ability to assess the long term impacts and unintended consequences of various governmental actions.

I do a lot of lobbying in my job and can tell you that even at the national level, legislators can't keep up with all the nuances. They are very good at the political ramifications, but rely on staff and people like me for real world assessments.
