I expect the line would be Bama -14. Would we even have a chance? Auburn needed a fluke play to win.

I think we have a chance.. We can stop the run. I think the nations best backs ran for less than 100 against us all year
(williams,davis, & gurley minus his big 75yard run)
i think we match up better vs the LSU's, Bamas, Mich St, etc.

the coots imo. No running QB. They don't do well against spread teams. Our D does well against pro style offenses.

The Bama offense without a running QB might be a better matchup, Clemson is strong against RB's. the Bama D is another story, not sure how the Tiger offense matches up there. Would be a fun game to watch. The biggest worry is Saban, he likely will have a stout game plan. His teams have a good track record in big games.

I agree with you in one area. Bama hates high tempo offenses like us so we have a chance.... but it only affects them if we run enough plays nm

Mlmtiger and other like him are either 1 of 3 things, a bandwagoner who loved talking trash when we were winning, one of the morons who played football in middle school or coached middle school level teams and now believes they know how to run a college football more adequately than coaches that are paid millions of dollars to do so, or the most likely option and the case for 95% of the negative posts are it's just a carolina fan that has nothing else to do and seeks gratification by starting #### on clemson websites in hopes of getting a reaction out of clemson fans so that they may post the thread to any of their hick websites.

I think its obvious that we would be heavy underdogs. However I will say that you never know how a team will play in bowl a month from now.
They have laid an egg in the past against Utah, they have struggled against spread teams, and I would be curious as to how we played if we did not turn it over.
I still think we are competitive against anybody if we hold on the football. Of course we have not done that...

Bama does not have a decent FG kicker, that could be huge in a game if Clemson can control their run game, which it is capable of. Cat is auto on FG's.

...a good chance of getting cut into ribbons...MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, the matchup will be enough to scare the 5h1T out of the Clemson coaching staff and players to make them prepare in a way that Danny Ford would be proud.
If I were Dabo and company, I would have Danny come over for the first week and run the contact drills. Get them in the right frame of mind.

we've beaten Auburn the last two times...
they (Bama) would definitely overlook us simply due to media hype (like LSU & Tenn, & AU did).
Better to play & lose to a great team, with a us having just as much opportunity to win, then to play some not so great team in a lesser venue!
Let's go Tigers!!!!

When you are climbing the mountain, there will always be obstacles to the top, you either face them or you do not reach the summit. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. The spread will likely be 10 plus, no matter. Can't be afraid to slide down the mountain when reaching for the peak or you will never get there.

If Clemson brings their A Game, they might have a chance.
During the CFA bowl game last year, my dad thought that Clemson would have had a better chance against Alabama than LSU based on the way the game was going in the beginning.
