OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Clemson's Justin Malou has been named a finalist for the men’s soccer 2020-2021 Senior CLASS Award, as announced earlier today by the award’s organizing committee. The award honors NCAA Division I seniors who have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character, and competition. Malou is Clemson’s first finalist for the award, which has been presented annually since 2007.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Malou was chosen from a pool of 30 candidates as one of the award's 10 finalists. All finalists are now a part of nationwide fan voting, which will remain open through May 3 as fans help choose a winner. The winner will be announced during this year’s NCAA College Cup after calculating the votes cast by fans, media, and NCAA Division I head coaches.
