WATCH: Is Deshaun Watson a can't miss NFL Star? |
Fox Sports personality Colin Cowherd discussed his favorable opinion of Clemson junior quarterback
Deshaun Watson and believes that he is comparable to a young Andrew Luck in terms of talent.
"I will say this about Deshaun Watson, one of the reasons to me that he is an 'A prospect' and Jared Goff is a 'B prospect' is his legs," Cowherd said. "I would not call Deshaun Watson necessarily the classic college dual-threat quarterback. I see him as a thrower with escapability." Cowherd went on to say that successful NFL quarterbacks usually take at least four years to mature in the NFL and Watson should do well in the league. "The reason Deshaun Watson is an 'A prospect' and Jared Goff is a B, because Jared Goff is going to have to do it all upstairs. Not going to do it with his legs. Not going to make any plays with his legs."
