WR Starters vs NC State (Stellato, Brown, Collins)

WR-X: Troy Stellato
WR-Slot: Tyler Brown
WR-Z: Beaux Collins
NC State will force Clemson to throw the ball
Garrett Riley should get Troy Stellato & Tyler Brown in open space and let them go to work to make it easier on Cade & utilize SPEED.
This should open up our running game for Shipley & Mafah. Since Cade is struggling to go through his progressions fast enough and our OL play has been suspect, Cade needs to get the ball out quick.
Deep balls to Beaux Collins are 50/50 not 80/20, this stalls our offense & quick 3 and outs which his hurting our offense. I'd put more emphasize on deep shots for Jake Briningstool.

Beaux has no fight for deep balls, which is why it’s 50/50 or worse. Watch Stellato’s film, dude is a dog and fights for those and catches most, I want to see him get a shot there.

I agree, Swap Stellato to WR-Z since Cade has trouble seeing the left side of the field. This should get him more targets.
Stellato in the FSU game was tearing it up on 3rd downs in place for Beaux. It's a shame he only played 14 snaps, while Beaux played over 60 snaps and did less.

I’m so over them not using Stellato to his full potential and letting him be the dog that he is. Randall is a dog to if he can just take that next step, I know it’s there I’ve seen it first hand. I’m so over the rotations at WR but Beauxs physicality for his frame is very disappointing

There is no match for him right now. He’s just been underutilized

We may lose yards on every play, but we will not stop running up the middle.

B.Collins is easily one of our top 3 currently active receivers. T.Stellato and T.Brown are the other two.
With those three, we have enough threats to keep NCSU from cheating too much on any single receiver.
Briningstool is no longer a secret. CK2 didn’t look anywhere else in 2nd half, except for pre-planned lateral passes.
Since CK2 is not yet ready to go through his progressions (and when he tries to do this, his throws are almost always too late), perhaps some preplanned ‘primary’ targets, which get rotated among our good receivers, can be used effectively to keep NCSU’s defense a bit off balance.
Briningstool, of course, must be part of that rotation, but since he will be called to block on some occasions, he will probably end up with being targeted less than the other three.
We’ll all know how Riley’s scheme will turn out soon enough.

Cade is going to see an 8 man box until he can prove we can beat them deep, so I say air it out early and often. Let’s see if these WR’s can live up to their potential.

Our only jump ball receivers is Beaux, Stellato, Randall, and Briningstool. These are the only ones who are capable right now and big enough.
