WMYA channel 40 HD broadcast

I have DirecTV, and this channel does not show up in HD. A crawl during the games says the signal is available in HD but you need to contact your provider to get the signal in HD. I contacted DirecTV today, and they said WMYA has not given permission for DirecTV to broadcast in HD, only SD. I tried to contact WMYA, and had to leave voice message and e-mail.

Anyone have any luck with getting WMYA channel in HD?

It stinks having to watch ACC b'ball in crappy SD.

Actually the question was any luck getting HD, which Uverse Broadcasts in HD. so the issue is DirecTV not WMYA

I thought only on WMYA and blacked out on the U.

she loves the tigers but isnt very technical on cable etc

You could try to watch it over the air.....

and not through DirectTV. It will be HD that way. Not sure of any other solution other than ESPNU
