Will a close loss to Clemson Saturday become the pinnacle...

12

Sep 20, 2023, 8:50 AM

achievement in Norvell's lackluster career?

Right now it seems a toss up between one AAC Conference Championship...

and his WOPR moment in 2020, when the only winning move was not to play the game.

Deep thinkers with very sirius replies are most welcome.

Tigers by a hundred.

ESPNancy said as long as a coach identified as a winner then that's all that mattered. Norvell will probably win an Espy Award for trying so hard.

Playing a close game against a perennial power is no slight on Norvell.

It’s really fun for your players and future recruits to see how competitive you can be from time to time in the ACC. Don’t believe for one moment those guys will be moping around if they can keep it close with Clemson - they know achievement when they feel it, and that’s what winning really is.

Well they do slap LSU around every year, so there's that.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oh theyve only beat LSU

On the biggest game of opening weekend for the last two years at a neutral site. No big deal. It’s not like they won the SEC West division that one year and may be the best team in the SEC this year.

🙄

I hate Norvell alot. I agree what he did during Covid year pissed me off. I hope he loses every game BUT there’s no denying what he has built down in Tallahassee. It took him a few years but now they’re rolling. He’s not still looking for his “signature” win.

I would actually argue we’re looking for ours. What was our last signature win? It’s been quite a few years unfortunately.

Thank you, LSU is the shining example of how the portal...

can lay waste to a team and its chances, eroding the very foundation on which it has been built.

LSU was favored going into both games, losing to a pedestrian Seminole team in 2022, only to outdo itself in 2023 when the faux Tigers lay down, rolled over and quit.

Talk about a cataclysmic implosion, if I didn't know better I'd have guessed OceanGate Expeditions was running that team.

by the wizardly Mad Hatter, and no longer wins games they shouldn’t on plays that have no chance of working with players already sporting addresses in the NFL.

They seem to have Neville Chamberlain at the helm now.
