are talking a lot of smack about the game Saturday. If i just landed here from Mars,I would think Wake is the #3 team in the Nation.I hope that our team takes these dudes serious and we play lights out. Calling our receivers freaks,is a smack in the face. They will be around in the 4th quarter, like they pedict, but will have no chance of winning.

They probably will be around in the 4th quarter. Laying out on the field stopping the clock with fake injuries and trying to catch their breath....

How do you not know what the term "freak" means in sports period? Its said all the time. Its considered a complement....like a freak of nature on the field! A "freak"...kinda like a "beast" Dominant at your position.

Well,i guess there are some things i don't know.I've heard Clowney referred to as a freak, but never any Clemson players.Don't let it bother you young man. There is more in life to get your dander up.I am just not into all the modern slangs.

Sorry, I just don't know of any men who wouldn't know that it is meant as high compliment when someone calls an athlete a freak. So I asked if you were a female. Don't mean any offense by it, just curious.

While I've certainly been known to be a smartass from time to time, I wasn't trying to be one here. Nor was I trying to start any sort of tift.
There are females that post on this board, and females in the Army as well. I was simply asking if you were one. Again, I meant no offense by it.

Also, while it is generally a compliment for someone to call an athlete a freak, the opposite can be said for someone referring to your wife or daughter as a freak.
Those would be fighting words.
Goodnight.

Surfcat,i really believe that you are full of sh##. What has someone's family got to do with a football player being referred to as a freak? Why has this been taken this far because i wasn't up to date on the lingo.I know lingo from the 60's that your dumb a$$ doesn't understand.

This whole thread makes me wonder if they were really talking smack or if you just misinterpreted because you're not "down with the lingo".
