Excuse 1. NC State = Nothing to play for and Bible actually coached from the press box.

Excuse 2. Duke = Duke... they are historically horrible and nobody expected them to win. They represented themselves nicely but "it is what it is" in overused Spurrier type terminology.

If this whole conference affiliation issue truly was cyclical and the ACC became a relevant football power (again), how many t-netters would still be calling for the administration to jump ship and go to the SEC if given the opportunity?

and if we'd switched to the SEC a couple years earlier, they'd be demanding that we switch back to the ACC or to whatever conference looks like it's better in any given year. Then, surely just to be ironic, they'd criticize a 17 year old for changing his mind about what school he wants to attend.
