Out lately...but one good way to gat the bad taste out of your mouth from a terrible loss.....is to go run...walk...jump rope..walkkkkkkk...whatever you can do...If I can do it ( torn meniscus 3 years ago, arthritis in my knee and spine, Remo al of half my thyroid last March....) most anyone can do it...Just find a coot that is in the same mind set and go work out with him...

By the way..got 26 tonight...working my way back to 40...

Great tip Dr SPuD and help me with Thyroid issue.

I have a Hyper thyroid vs Hypo which is what 80% of people have thus mine over-produces too much hormone which affects me various ways but weight loss is main one.

I eat & eat all day long and end of day I can lose 2 lbs rather than gain but I am extremely active which doesn’t help.

Plus, I have 1 of the 4 tiny Para-Thyroid nodules located behind the frontal & main thyroid that’s not firing (or is it firing too much?) that adds a new dimension and 8 yrs ago I was recommended to go to Charleston to scope it out and have it removed. Didn’t!

So, may I ask why you had a partial removal?

I would guess partial removal leaves you in a better situation and not having to take a med daily.

Was it because of a goiter? I have one.

Are you on a med?

Any trouble maintaining a steady weight?

TIA SPUD and if you want you can Tmail me a reply and even though life & aging is tough on us all I’m heartened by your work, recreational, personal & family agenda and the energy & positiveness you share with us TigerNet & Clemson Tiger Crazies!

THx & Go TiGERS..

just Jeep Rocking Team as SPuD does!

I had a lesion on it. Had a biopsy which was inconclusive.

Removed the bad part. It was benign. Not taking any medicines now...I was back to running 5 days after the surgery...but one thing or another has held me back from getting back in shape...hope to be back to 40 steps soon...got 26 tonight..so making progress...

but hope running up those stairs doesn’t cause (going down actually worse) you to need knee replacements.

Can’t you find another cardio & leg exercise..like a treadmill that has incline adjustments.

I run up...walk down...I have a treadmill....Kills my knee..

Got a Pelaton...killed my upper back....I probably could do a stairclimber...but that indoor stuff just bores me to death. Probably ought to ride a bike...but...I don't trust the people on the road. Some of them seem to have a high aversion to bike riders, joggers, etc.
