and I'm sure our coaches have done something with our approach to make sure we limit the decommittments because that was a problem last year. We will probably never hear what that was but Dabo and this staff have always been very good recruiters . They arent going to be letting the issue repeat if it can be avoided

Agreed. Seems like they are really stepping it up this year. Maybe he thinks we are at a disadvantage with NIL money when competing with other big-name schools. He's just going to try and outwork them for some of the top recruits and I believe he can.

Actually, it looks like the "Dabo of Old" pre 2018. In the early 2010's he always bragged that nobody could outwork him and I think he might have gotten away from that somewhat and depended on others. He seems "back in the saddle again" to me and enjoying life!

recruits are saying they like dabo and that its not all about the money, meaning that money was discuseed, probably talking about how much pf the 20.5 million rev share they will get in their first year...

Yeah it seems that we are definitely not putting all of our eggs in one basket. I like it. It seems we will definitely come away with a solid OL class.

...yea, and with the price of eggs these days, definitely don't want them all in one basket? Maybe we can offer more eggs instead of more money...we got one hellof an Ag school!

pro-active on the promotion front? Generally our offer volume is in the 60's or so per class - highly selective from start to finish. We're seeing offers go out just now for some of the top rising seniors, which also seems to align with our past activity.

Last cycle's heavy decommits has to have had some impact on our approach, though. That was a rarity for us but it definitely seems to have triggered a shift in our strategy. In the end, Dabo has to convince kids to value the Clemson experience and our commitment to these families over a higher up front dollar figure. Smothering recruits with relationship building that will better withstand later monetary temptations seems to be the guiding formula right now. Another clear strategy shift seems to rest with having the O and D leaders at home running their side of the program, freeing up the master to work his magic on the trail as 2025 prep gets underway.

All in all though we seem to be generating excellent press and awareness and keeping the Paw front and center.
