thing. It at least has the right engine in it.
I'm currently torn between buying my brothers 2000 TJ Wrangler Sahara (hardtop and soft top) 6cyl/5 speed that he has owned since new for $6K, My wife refers to it as a Barbie jeep, because its got the OEM tire size on it, never been lifted or even touched. It kind looks like a jeep a barbie would drive. I think he he's put a couple batteries, brakes and clutch in it. It either has 120K or 160k miles, I don't remember.
Or, another golf cart--gas this time. The golf cart prob costs a couple K more than the jeep, but gas is def worth it.
What do?

an engine for my old dakota and getting it back on the road. too hot to mess around with that crap.
eventually wife is going to quit letting me use her exploder, though, and then decisions will have to be made.
before yall give me ish about the wife letting me use her car, it is legit HER car. I actually got her off my teet and she pays for it 100%. I don't think she'd ever do that, but I wouldn't put it past her if I keep bringing it back dirty and stinking like fish.

I have the mustang.
old dakota is without engine.
a lot of times she works weekends, so I'll tell her to drive the mustang and let me keep the xploder. To 99% of people, that'd be a sweet trade, but she likes the explorer better. I think the 'stang makes her nervous.

to haul trash etc in. One I can back in under my deck when not using but I don’t know enough about working on them myself to pull the trigger on one.

it was a '95, 5-speed, worse shape than that, had 100K on it. AC/heat didn't work, radio didn't work, barebones as it could be. Paid $1000 cash to the guy. Just needed it to haul trash to the dump and haul bags of feed from Tractor Supply, no more than 20-mile round trips ever. It was like $30/year for taxes and tags. Periodic oil changes and gas were the only money I ever put into on it.
Drove it for 5 years, rewired the radio and heater (not the AC) so they would work, then finally came a day I decided to upgrade to something bigger and nicer.
I then sold it for $1000 cash. And regret it just a little bit, even today.
