Today I have once again been reminded why I hate Microsoft

My latent hatered has been reactivated. You never realize how much crap and garbage you have to turn off, uninstall, change, registry edits, and all the crap you have to do to unscrew up their product (Windows). Over 10 years using the same Windows install, you don't really notice it. Start from scratch and it's absolutely horrendous.
Like Outlook, for example. Wait, before that, they insist on logging me into my microsoft account, and then send all my files to the cloud. NO. So I have to login as a local admin, log OUT of microsoft, then UNINSTALL OneDrive so it doesn't send my data off to neverland.
Back to outlook. I have 3 email accounts. And evidently TWO Outlook programs. They try to force you into some web-based crap, and that houses your email in their CLOUD. NOPE. So uninstalled that. Go the regular desktop app with Office 365. What I had. Already backed up my PST file and I use POP3 email. WILL NOT USE IMAP. I have every email since 2001 because I manage my email this way. So set up my 3 emails. They all go to a seperate PST file. Then I have my old pst file. Previously, I had an inbox that got all the emails from all accounts, then they were stored in that one PST file. But how did I do that? I searched for "unified inbox" and a bunch of ####### videos of people writing scripts for it, ir using the search bar, macros, a bunch of garbage to get what everyone (like me) wants.
Then I saw a video that made me recall the technique. Set up a rule for emails coming into each of the the three PST email accounts to forward to the inbox in the 4th PST file. Then make rules for your bulk senders to go to appropriate folders. Just spent an hour getting all that back as it was.
I have a 10GB main PST file, then I have 34GB of additional archive PST files. I can load them all and search for ANYTHING ever emailed to me, sent, recieved, whatever, and can find it instantly. Every email going back to marriage, 2001.

You can take three HDD's that were a single spanned data drive in one PC, used for storage, plug them into a new PC with a new windows version, and you can migrate the three dynamic volumes into one spanned volume AND THE DATA IS STILL THERE. Sweet. So at least something went better than expected anyway. Didn't have to re-download those terabytes from my NAS.
