underpaid. Always have been. In the past, they married rich men of means, and taught kids. Today, they're independent, and have this idea teaching is a career, and they pursue it only to learn it's not funded to be a career, so they leave. My son in high school has most of his teachers who look like they MAY be college students. Heck, my wife commented we are old enough to be the parents of ALL of my son's high school teachers, except for one ONE.

In re: Bike Week in Murrell's inlet. He was down here all week and lives in Murell's Inlet, and was going back yesterday. I told him I follow Suck Bang Blow on Instagram, and asked him if he was ready for the traffic from Bike Week when he got back.
We were talking about the hoes that I guess come in from out of town to be bartenders at SBB and The Beaver Bar just for Bike Week, and he said he understood they are strippers who bartend. I said they might USED to have been strippers, but most of the ones I saw on SBB Insta ads were well past their stripping days. Then we discussed that career path: Stripping, then bartending, then hostess, then hoping they find some dude who is going to take care of them and their 12 year old kid.
