Absolutely no excuse not to. Compared to us, VT is not a good team. If this truly is Brad's best team and if this is a sweet 16 caliber team, then under no circumstances should we lose. Coming off two straight losses and already battle tested on the road, our guys should be ready to flex a little tonight.
***Correction tomorrow night***

I’m sure you would be disappointed seeing that Houston vs Iowa State is on and not our tigers.

Hahaha! I know it's really hard to use your brain, but just because something is tough, doesn't make it impossible. See our wins at pitt and alabama this year where we were underdogs.
Just to show you an example, there were only 2 teams in the acc that had a losing record at home last year.
The top 6 teams in the ACC had a combined home record of 91-9. Those same top 6 teams had a record of 33-32 away from home.
Virginia tech (who was the 11th best team in the ACC) had a home record of 13-4 and an away record of 2-10.
I understand you want to play stupid to try and bash this team, but you can only deny reality so much.....

To add to this, VT beat UNC, Duke, UVA, and Pitt at hime last year. That is with them being the 11th best team in the conference.
Their losses at home came to clemson, miami, nc stare, and BC. Their average loss was by just under 5 points.
If you think this is going to be a blowout/easy game tomorrow, then your head is in the sand.

Pitt lost to MO, Clemson, and Syracuse. Florida was neutral. ALA lost to Clemson and Creighton. Ohio State, Purdue and Arizona were at neutral locations which did not show in the first list I looked at. It showed like they were home games.

Since each ACC team schedules different out-of-conference schedule strength, your argument may be better served to provide their in-conference home record, which would greatly reduce the variability of each team's out-of-conference schedule.
For instance, the argument that VT was 13-4 at home and a tough venue to play in may not hold as much strength considering 7 of those 13 wins were out of conference (see: Delaware State, Lehigh, William & Mary, Charleston Southern, Minnesota, Dayton, & Grambling State). Their in-conference home record was not bad at 6-4, which while this is greater than .500, it is not as impactful as the 13-4.
A better argument may be to state that the best in-conference away record for any team in the ACC last year was 6-4 (Miami and Pitt), and only 5 of 15 teams were at least .500 on the road. But this argument would be a bit biased in only looking at 1 season of data.
Hopefully, we can replicate the success we had at home last year (9-1) by reeling off 9 consecutive home wins and improve upon our away record last year (5-5).

Nothing to see there.

The Bros consistently refuse to acknowledge that
A) the ACC is weaker top to bottom than it has been in decades, if not ever.
B) unbalanced scheduling means some teams within the dramatically weakened conference are playing significantly lower quality schedules than others, regardless of non-conference competition. Factoring in non-conference schedules some teams are playing ludicrously non-competitive schedules (see Clemson 2022-23).
Brad Brownell has had the benefit of coaching against two of the three easiest strengths of schedule Clemson basketball has faced since 1970. He failed to make the NCAA tourney against either. Cliff Ellis faced the other, made the tourney that season and made it to the tourney 3 of 4 seasons - surpassing Brownell's 14 years of accomplishments in that four year window.

I agree. Why dont you provide those stats then. That would be more work than i feel like putting in.
It would still show that their winning percentage is way better at home. Its ridiculous to say there is no excuse for losing this game
