when we are 3rd in the ACC, 61 in NET, 75 in Joe Lunardi Bracketology, are on virtually every bubble, CBB received 6 ACC COTY votes, and CBB is a finalist for National COTY, is concerning. All signs point to NCAA or bust for CBB. I don't like it any more than you but that committee holds CBB's fate in their hands.

Brad's contract takes him through 2026. If math serves, that's 3 more seasons after this one. Typically you want at least 4 for recruiting purposes.
Regardless, Neff is in a wait and see mode. The tea leaves are out there - it's the NCAAT or bust. Brad knows this as well. Make the tourney, and he'll get another year or two on the contract. Don't make it, and we move on.
I think it literally boils down to one game - Thursday is a must win for Brad to survive.

I’m really concerned delaying this extension will jeopardize our 89th ranked recruiting class. Brownell is clearly on an upward trajectory and it is unfair for Neff to impede him like this.
