in California as Our TIGER Gals finish up their 2nd Round, we are struggling . . .
Chloe Holder and Our new Gal, Juliette Demeaux, have been Our Bright Spots.
Melena Barrientos and Sydney Roberts have been average . . . the other 2 need to pick up the pace.
In any event, we have lost a lot with Savannah’s and Annabelle’s departures last year!
Here’s the Link to follow as they conclude their 2nd Rounds: https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/233614/scoring/team

Thought for second it was same course as last year's NCAA tourney but wasn't...but seems like those Cali courses play real tough.
Assuming Briars Creek is gonna try to jam rest of Rd 2 & get in Rd 3 tomorrow? Hopefully a break in action can refocus our guys & get a charge back atop leaderboard

Thanks Skeeta56. Definitely a shoutout to Kian Rose. His first tournament finishing 1st with a score of -7. Congratulations Kian... no one deserves it more. Came over from South Africa and bid his time. He stuck with Clemson when he could have transferred and been in every rotation. Gotta love the ones that stick by the coach. Love em all but would love to give him a big hug and kiss 💋 😘
As happy as I am for Kian, my heart breaks for Rich Wills. He bogeyed his 53rd hole (par 3) and then failed to birdie his last, a short par 5. But he'll get his. The future is bright for the young ones. That bogey cost us a t3 and we finished 4th. Not bad and was a much needed top 5. We get some good points.
Will Baker had a couple good solid rounds. I believe he's rooming with Salema. Was hoping he'd be in one of tournaments this week. Hopefully he's not hurt because he's got game as we discussed in the summer tournaments.
Hope coach tinkers with the rotation. Immelman will come along. Probably first time jitters.
Melena was our only golfer the entire tourney to post a below par round, shooting a -1 today. Chloe will get all the accolades but Mel was steady and finished 2nd. Too bad Juliette didn't make the rotation. Hester needs to play our young ones. We'll bounce back. Help is on the way. Allison Paik will be steady. Won't go too low.
I'm trying to find out about Isabella and why she didn't go. Haven't heard of any injuries. Apologies for the book, but just elated we're off and running!!!

Bad round didn't sink them as bad as they did in the fall

Still hurt though...had our guys shot even par in 2nd, they'd finished 2nd outright & under par would've put them neck & neck w/ NC State for the title & been a huge bump for the W-L-T record (27-40-2 after today...win or 2nd place would've pushed alot closer to .500).
Great golf by Kian & Rich. Andrew had a bad tournament, can't afford to have many more of them out of him rest of way.

Andrew needs to be our anchor this year. He's so likable and loves supporting Clemson. I'd hoped he'd found his game after the final fall tournament. Same with William baker. His junior golf just hasn't carried over. You never know with kids... they get in school and obviously have focus on what most 19-20 year Olds do.
Hope Salema gets in the rotation in one of these upcoming tournaments. I know he didn't play well in the final fall tournament but he's got game. Heck, they all have game but none seem to put 3 consistent rounds together. Better do it soon and secure some points.
