Tait led his team to their 8th win of the season against Highlands, the #10 team in the state. It was a close game most of the night, with Queen Creek coming away with a 23-20 victory.
Tait was very efficient going 10-16 passing for 100 yds and 1 INT. He did his damage with his legs rushing for 200 yards on 16 carries and 1 TD. That leaves him 22 yards short of 1000 yards for the season heading into their final regular season game.
This last game will be a monster, as Queen Creek travels to their cross town rival American Leadership Academy, who is ranked #6 in the state. Queen Creek is #7. A Queen Creek win makes them the 6A Region Valley Champion.
Interestingly, each team only has 1 loss, and each of them has beaten the team the other one lost to. This game will be important for state championship seeding and should be a heck of a game.
