most broadly known national name, and not sure about this year or last but had the highest systemwide sales in 2021. I have no idea if JJ's got a bargain or overpaid, but it's probably the brand they can do the most with...at least from a marketing perspective.

$10-15 for a large sub these days that has almost no ham/turkey/meat on it.
I love sub sandwiches, but they just aren't worth the price anymore, they've gone the way of the chicken wing. Not worthwhile.
Bring back Sub Station II, now THEY made a good sub. Maybe they are still around, but I haven't seen one in forever.

Our SSII in Aiken didn't close, but the lady that ran it left the franchise and took it over under her own name. Still the exact same sub, freaking delicious.

They have Subway sandwich place in Lyon, France. I just wonder why anyone would eat Subway there.

there's one attached to every third 7-11 and Cirkle K in existence.
Also, very low overhead. Just a walk in, the fridge table thing, chef mic, and small broiler. No big stoves or fryers or other booshit to buy to build one out.
