Tonight. Broadcast is on THE CW. PJ Hall is playing well as of late Ian Schieffelin is playing well Jack Clark as been a spark Chase Hunter is solid RJ Godfrey is a beast
I’m have a feeling that there will be a lugubrious Leonard Hamilton after the game.
Go Tigers, beat the Criminoles!

we have one of those inexplicable games. Or, Judge Keller would want us to think they are normal. And, for us, under BB, they are, unfortunately. Hope we buck the trend today!

It’s a byproduct of the nature of basketball, with 10 players on the court and 30+ games a year.
It’s amazing that some of you act like it’s unacceptable for Clemson to “lose a game we shouldn’t.” This isn’t football, where rosters are huge and there is a great separation between the haves and the have nots.

This is a top 20 roster. Apparently to some such as yourself it’s perfectly acceptable for Brad to have this team unranked and one game above.500 in the conference. A real coach would’ve had at least the #4 seed locked up by now.

in pretty much every bracketology right now. That’s way more important than the AP poll or ACC record, assuming the goal is to make the NCAA Tournament (which is what all the naysayers last year said when bashing our coach).
Not surprisingly, the goal posts are being moved.

Haven’t you talked #### about the NET rating? If anyone keeps moving the goalposts it’s you.

I’m interested in making sure ours is really good.
Also, what makes you say that we have a top 20 roster? While we have some good pieces, I don’t think it’s close to being top 20.
This “top 20 roster” nonsense is based on your desire to criticize Brownell if we aren’t top 20. Weak.

This proves once and for all that you’re just a Brad fan. In the past you’ve talked #### about Cliff Ellis and Oliver Purnell. A couple weeks ago you said PJ isn’t the player the coaches thought he was. Now you’re saying this isn’t a top 20 roster??
This absolutely is a top 20 roster and it’s the one thing I’ll give Brad credit for.

If you do, please provide some evidence such as recruiting class ranks, transfers, etc.
I do think it’s a really good roster, but not top 20. More like top 40.
I did not say that PJ isn’t the player we thought he was. I said maybe he isn’t. I said that because everyone was complaining about him and he was shooting under 20% from three in ACC play. It was a fair question to ask since he had done an about face after the new year. To his credit, he has really stepped it up lately and is playing better. He’s a great talent for sure.
I’m not really sure why you brought up Ellis and Purnell. Both had some success here but both had significant weaknesses too.

I brought up Ellis and Purnell because you talked #### about them. You manipulate recruiting rankings to fit your narrative.
Screw recruiting rankings this is a top 20 team with the right coach.

Yeah I’ve watched them play and our guys are top 20. Quit putting down our players like you do the football team.
Get your ### in the locker room and make sure the toilets are clean when they come in.

3 losses by a total of 3 points shows how razor thin the margin for error is.

If we had won those, we would be 21-5 overall, and 11-4 in the ACC and in third place by ourselves.
We would probably be a projected 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament too.

That’s correct and coaching mistakes late in games have cost us those few points. I’ll also admit that player decisions and free throws are in there too. I think both of those are a result of a lack of poise from the top down. We are a tight program just like we were in football under Bowden. The biggest attribute CDS brings that CBB doesn’t seem to have is belief and I’m not sure that’s “fixable”, but maybe you can recruit players that have that and possibly shift the trend (JG3 has it).

Its ultimately up to players to make plays.

Coaches can put players in position but that’s about it beyond making sure they put in the skill work.
Not surprisingly, Dabo’s teams played with great poise when we had Deshaun Watson, but very little poise now that we have Cade Klubnik. We haven’t played with much poise in football for several years now, as evidenced by our excessive turnovers and inexplicable losses.

Agree with that (though you didn’t mention DJ), but we closed against Kentucky. The consistency (with different players) with which we see the same in MBB is the concern.

… to orient the players put them in position to win the game. Unfortunately Brownell doesn’t do that well at the end of games.
