I think it gives Clemson an edge. I’ll take our D line in a rushing battle any day.

Everyone knows if it rains during a Clemson game it only rains on whoever Clemson is playing.

Field may be wet but looks like the rain should be over by game time.

Local Bay Area news said that weather impact will be a 2 out of 5 on game. Said new model is showing potential heavy rains during game.

It still wouldn't solve the poop issue.

You do realize that forecast models are pretty accurate within 4 days right?

No rain game-time

A series of storms are coming ashore over the weekend and into next week. But the weather in the bay area is very, very dependent on specific location because of the mountains and bay. Most of this rain will fall in the north bay - that is north of the golden gate bridge. Santa Clara is south bay.
Monday forecast is light rain the AM, chance of rain through the evening. That says to me it is not likely to rain in the afternoon and evening and if it does it will be extremely light - less than 1/10th inch.
As to accuracy - when you live on the east coast the weather forecasters have the benefit of watching the weather systems coming across the country for days. Here we have storms out over the Pacific out of range of doppler radar and such. They rely on satellite images for the most part. It works pretty well but not as accurate as the in the east. Then you have the peculiarities of the geography here in the bay area. The ocean and bay water is very cool, the mountains bring down the rain leaving the valleys with far less precipitation. Santa Clara and San Jose are just east of the Santa Cruz mountains which create a bit of a rain shadow. When they talk about rain here in Silicon Valley they are often referring to .01 - .25"; something you would shrug off in Clemson.
PS - I live in Silicon Valley.

Updated Forecasts - Not good

Well by this afternoon new models came out predicting much more rain and wind. Still too early to be accurate hour-to-hour but it's like this: We will have a series of storms starting Saturday. It will rain hard Saturday, a bit on Sunday then another round Monday in the morning. Later in the afternoon and evening they are prediction 'some showers'.
If you come it will rain much of the time you are here. If you are planning to drive over the Sierras - well that's not a great plan and frankly, it never was. You will have chain controls at times and expect very long drive times.
For those in the South Bay - right now it looks like you'll need rain gear but probably not a hard rain during gametime. But stay tuned - like I said, too early to get this right down to the hour.
