Six (6) schools have applied to join the AAC

The American Athletic Conference has received applications from six schools hoping to join the conference. Those schools are: Florida Atlantic, UNC-Charlotte, North Texas, Texas-San Antonio, Rice and Alabama Birmingham.

Of course, the AAC's decision to expand was in reaction to Cincinnati, UCF and Houston departing for the Big 12.

Don't forget UCONN basically dropping the sport as well... or joining up with other hasbeens like UMAS and ND
