the aggressor. Start dictating to the opposing defenses some instead of it always being vice versa.

Good point. But what happens if our offense is basically not good enough to be the aggressor or to dictate anything against a good, or better defense?

We don't have the O-line to be a dominant running team

and our QB is too erratic to consistently make the right decisions and deliver the ball accurately and on time in the passing game.

If our QB can develop some consistency and become mediocre at least, we'll be a top 5 team.

Top 5 don't get you into the CFP's!

But, we aren't good enough offensively to impose our will on a defense.

It is mind boggling that we are struggling so much.

There is no excuse. We supposedly have the talent and coaching to be a lot better than we have been this year.

Iv said it many times and prob get TD bc of it but I believe where we are at as a program we can get anyone we want.. we pay coordinators more than anyone in the country… I love the fact we have old players that come back and the family atmosphere but look at venables … he had nothing to do with Clemson and not even from around here… I think it’s time to branch out offensively outside of the program … who cares if they are only here two years… you go and get the next best guy, we are wasting talent at this point and years we should be winning more titles … bama doesn’t seem to have issue with changing coordinators every two years

Leftie, we didn't try a deep route past 20 yds Saturday. GT

forced us to dink and dunk with all 11 defenders within 10 yds of the LOS. I'd rather send a 6'4" receiver downfield on a go route, more than likely against one-on-one coverage, than throw away a down on a 2 yard run. We have taken virtually no chances deep in the 1st 3 games.

I believe that's because our QB hasn't shown an ability to

complete 10-15 yard passes with any sort of consistency, much less deep passes.

Our offensive line probably has something to do with that as well.

I agree though, we should take some deep shots downfield to keep the defense honest if nothing else.

With our defense, you don't want a rattled QB making bad

decisions, so don't put him into position to turn the ball over. It's hard to consistently call plays when your QB is so unpredictable in his decision making and execution.

Remember, it was the pick 6 that cost us the Georgia game.

Had we done that against Ga Tech, we probably would have lost that game as well.

Avoid the risks that cost you games and live to fight another day. Hopefully, by the end of the season, we'll still have just one loss and our decision making and execution will have improved enough that we can take a few more risks.

That's just not what we do.

And that's a major reason we struggle offensively.
