An understatement that His coaching gig & choice of school had much more upturn for success in state of Florida than Jeff Scott's.

He was always a great recruiter. Probably what got him the OC at Clemson. He was just way too young. Barely 30. I remember having Dabo over at my uncle's house, (a coot) who was a close friend of former DL coach Rumph, and my uncle laughed at how immature the hire was. Little did he know he would head an SEC program mich bigger than his little coot program he thought was superior in 2009.

And by that, I mean coach Rumph had Dabo over for dinner and I was fortunate to be there. I'm not claiming to have Dabo over for dinner lol..

Florida is big league, USF is junior varsity so yeah Billy has more chance of success. He also is like every other big time coach, he is on a short leash and has to win. Tough business.

Down here in Florida their fans ain't so happy. To many, they underachieved last year. This year they still have no idea who their QB is. They had a mediocre Spring game. Their over/under win total is 5.5 to 6.5 depending on which site you read. Many fans are predicting he will be fired after this season.

You're exactly right. This OP is the only place I've heard or seen anything upbeat about the direction of that program. Can't wait for Kirby to put another beat down in them.

UF is like Auburn or LSU to me. They can have 4 or 5 years of suckage and all of a sudden get a horseshoe up their rear and win the SEC or even Natty.
