SEC and B1G spin on round 1 of playoffs.

B1G went 2-1 (losing to ND)
SEC went 1-1 (losing to B1G)
ACC went 0-2

"Clearly, the ACC does not belong in the playoffs. Next round will prove that Big 12 doesn't belong either. The only fair playoff should consist of teams from B1G and SEC. (ND will soon be in B1G so they are included.)"

All they need is for AZ ST and BSU to lose in the quarters and they will have all the ammunition they need them to announce that after 2025 playoffs there will be a new system with only teams from the P2 invited.

FSU and Clemson know that is where we are heading. That's why they have to get into one of those conferences quickly. UNC knows the same thing.

And are nice too, especially to your lovely wife since it’s known you take her out to dine even if you do get onto your cell by dessert to check in.

Ha..and BabyBulb says HellO!

MERRY CHRISTMAS Seminole Fan~

You don't have to be too astute....

.... to see where we are headed.

As I tell my Florida friends, "That's so simple even a gator can see it."

When is babybulb's next adventure into insanity? I love following him on those things I can appreciate, but never dream about doing.

I agree wholeheartedly. But I'm not throwing in the towel yet on Az State or BSU. BSU having the better chance. But Az State can beat Texas... although ewers does have time to heal.

But to your point. Agree, but how. And then what happens to the Boise and Arizonas, the unc and Miami?

Agree Bret, but the only thing you missed is that the SEC and Big still want our money so they can further advance their conferences. They still want other conferences to beat up on so they will still have someone to say they are better than. I think they are too smart to kill the goose that laid the golden egg, but I'm not totally sure of that. I guess now, to ESPN and the NCAA, maybe they are the goose that laid the golden egg. We will see.

Best thing that could happen for the ACC would be if Notre Dame takes down Georgia. That way the only SEC team to reach the Final Four would be the one that beat Clemson - clearly a superhuman feat!

I just want to point out that for the 2nd year in a row there won't be an SEC team in the national championship. Take that all you Gamecock fans!

While that makes for a system which only allows the SEC and B1G to slice...

the pie there's going to be a lot of deserts left off that dish.

I do not think it's economically sound to exclude all that sugar and corn syrup.

There is a way to utilize all media rights under one banner and I believe we will get there. Imo, that's what they are shooting for and how they get the great majority, or all, of the FBS teams involved.

Conference hold playoff games during the last few weeks of the regular season using the home and home format. Each conference divides team into pods which have inner pod teams playing until a pod winner is decided.

That will greatly increase viewership earlier in the season for the pod winners will then be 'playing off,' in the latter portion of the regular season. It provides must win games earlier which will demand attention.

I have yet to imagine how media will handle this and that may be the reason the playoff has been expanding in baby steps. Perhaps the media wants to take baby steps to see how the public reacts to the changes.

The PO would have many more participants and perhaps post season might come early to accommodate a longer playoff season.

Bowl games for those eliminated would remain available for both the teams and the media. Since it's all about the money I believe something astounding will happen. My question is when, not so much how.
