The safe bet is Mafah on a counter....
I hope its not a deep shot even though we need to mix that in every drive or two to keep the safeties honest.
Play action pass to the TE over the middle would be very interesting b/c I anticipate them sending their LBs to try and get a solid hit on CK.
I'm going hand-off to Mafah. Much rather have a 2nd and 6 or 7 vs a 2nd and 10 on an incomplete. Get the first hit jitters off, keep the clock running and play it conservative and lean on the O line (which should be improved with Luke having an off-season with them).
UGA will do the same.... run the ball until we prove we can stop it. I'm glad Bowers is gone.
I think both defenses are going to play well.... my thoughts its going to be special teams and who makes less mistakes in a close one.

I’d like to see a screen to Mafah in the flats or maybe a jet sweep to Antonio Williams or Tyler Brown but the handoff to Mafah is probably going to be the play.
I think the first team to 20 wins this game and another 10-3 score would not surprise me. Just hope we get the pick six this time.

With Georgia’s athleticism and speed, I wouldn't think screens and sweeps would be successful. To the extent there is a weakness on the defensive side for Georgia, its probably the line. I'd expect Riley to test UGA upfront early.

Georgia has some great linebackers that are going to make it hard to use the middle of the field against. They have too much speed for us to have a ton of success at the perimeter. Our best bet is making some 1-on-1 catches against their younger secondary…which means our receivers need to be on their A game

It's anybody's guess but you better win first down (+5-6 yards ) if you wanna convert and move the chains.
Can't put pressure on CK to convert 3 and long in the first series.
I think ya might see Riley flip the ball out to Stool. These plays are intended to pick up 5 or so. I'm confident Mafah can pick up third and short.
Even if we can't score it's vital to win the game of field position to keep the game within reach. I want to see Wesco or Moore win the battle in the end zone that gives us the win. One can dream

Unless Dabo pulled a Tommy Bowden promising the first play to Bryant Wesco or TJ Moore. I loved and hated that aspect of Bowden recruiting. At least it usually came against Sister Sadie of the Poor. This is against Jawga who usually makes winning football games tough.

Typically, Clemson likes to achieve the run game and then balance the attack. For the previous 4 season, the opposing defenses know this. If a defense loads the box, then there is no way that a RB will be able to run between the tackles regardless of who the RB or O-Line is. This concept creates a predictable offense and allows defenses to pin their ears back from the start of the game. It places unnecessary pressure on the QB and that can negatively impact performance. If I am Clemson, on the first play I would fake a hand off to Phil Mafah and then dump a pass underneath to the TE. If the TE doesn't break off a TD run after catch, then another fake hand off and a corner post route to one of the WR in the endzone should do the trick. From there, the Clemson offense will be able to generate a pick your poison scenario for the UGA defense. In order to keep a defense honest all game, you must set the tone early and keep them guessing. Just my lousy two cents for what it's worth.

In order for a play fake to work well, the play you're faking (ie. the run) has to be effective.
Sounds simple enough, but in reality Georgia rarely loads the box (as you mention). UGA stops the run with movement, disruption and confusion at the LOS. When the D's underneath coverage isn't worried about the run read, a play fake is just a slow developing pass play. That's why I doubt Dabo will open with a play fake.
He's either going to open with a straight run or a fast-developing pass. UGA tends to drop DL into coverage behind a LB blitz, which is very effective against quick developing plays like that mesh play Clemson likes to run. That's why I think the first play will be a straight run to Mafah.

I think we will see a lot of Mafah early and often. My guess is UGA will set their D to stop the run unless Cade proves he can move the ball through the air. If we cant move the ball on the ground and our line cant protect Cade without a blitz, it will be a long day. If we can find a way to move the chains, we will have a chance.

You bring up a good point about running QBs. That is one of the few vulnerabilities against Kirby's defenses. But mostly if the QB is also an effective passer (didn't Trevor hit a few big shots early in that LSU game?). A true dual-threat. I'd also say that the S (#3 - was that Jacoby Stevens?) blew his contain assignment on that play - maybe because he didn't trust his interior defense? (LSU stuffed the give).
But yes, if Cade can become a threat to run, then that will help your offense a bunch.
